Education
I am a Senior Elementary Education major at Lock Haven University. I will be completing my student teaching this spring. I am also minoring in Special Education. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.7.
Experience
I have spent over 200 hours working with students of all ages, primarily in a classroom setting. This includes designing and carrying-out numerous lesson plans. I have also tutored a 3rd-4th grade girl one-on-one for over a year in math and reading comprehension. For my SAT I received a 630 in math, 600 in writing and 660 in reading. I received a 3 on my AP English Composition exam. I would love to be a tutor because my course of study is all about teaching others and helping them to succeed. I love working with other people, and I love finding out how to help them learn and what makes it "click" for them. I have taken over 42 credits of education courses. Mainly in the elementary or special education field. This courses have taught me multiple strategies of teaching, assessment and management techniques, and how to develop proper and engaging lesson plans.
